Puppies may be picked up at our home in central Minnesota or arrangements can possibly be made to meet part way.
We can also make travel arrangements for your new pet to almost any major airport in the continental US.
Canada shipping is available May-Oct.
Each puppy is shipped in a new USDA approved carry on kennel that is yours to keep.
USDA has guidelines for shipping your pet. The temperature can not exceed 85 degrees or fall below 10 degrees at any point of departure and arrival. During the flight the puppy is in a temperature and pressure controlled environment, it is only during loading and unloading that it is transported on a luggage cart.
At the date of shipment the puppy must be at least 8 weeks of age.
Some states require a rabies vaccination before entering the state, therefore it would need to be done here.
The pup also has to have a USDA health report done by a licensed veterinarian prior to shipment, which is only valid for 10 days from date of issue. This is a very through 18 point health inspection to ensure your puppy was healthy at time of shipment. This also helps to ensure (hopefully) that pups being shipped by others at the same time, on the same airline are noncontiguous.
The pup also needs to have a veterinarian vaccination and worming report signed and dated prior to shipment.
These reports average about $80.00 and must accompany the pup during shipment.
The cost of an average flight for a pup under 15 lbs is around $175.00. There is an inspection charge, a fuel surcharge, and tax. Which brings the total flight to about $200.00
I ask that the purchaser pays for the flight in advance, also the USDA cert., I will pay for the kennel and the other health paper work and/ or any vaccinations, worming, etc.
Your cost to fly $240.00 to most major airports.
Your pup will be insured and will come with no cost due to you at arrival.
Airlines require at least 24 hr. advance reservations and can provide services when space allows, this is not usually a concern.
The airlines do an overall good job of caring for the pups, they also offer care if delays occur.
